THE BACKGROUND

Smyths Toys Superstores is a multinational chain that provides children's toys and entertainment products across Ireland, the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and France, with over 200 shops in these countries. Smyths Toys offers an extensive assortment of products in the areas of toys, outdoor, multimedia, and baby, making it the leading provider in the industry. The Smyths Toys concept adds significant value for customers by offering a highly popular and convenient multi-channel approach, exceptional service standards, top-quality products, and consistently affordable prices.

THE ASK

Together with KidsKnowBest, our main goal was to establish Smyths Toys as the ultimate destination for all children's products. To achieve this, we aimed to increase brand awareness and make Smyths Toys the go-to choice for kids and baby products. We partnered with over 60 influencers throughout the year, focusing on different products and brands for each activation. These influencers were tasked with motivating their communities to follow @smythstoys_de or @smythsbaby_de and visit the website through the link provided in their Instagram stories. Our strategy involved leveraging the power of influencer marketing to spread the word about the extensive range of products available at Smyths Toys and position the brand as the leading provider in the industry.

THE RESULTS

The always-on strategy for the Smyths Toys influencer campaign proved to be incredibly successful, resulting in consistent increases in brand awareness throughout the year. By utilizing various campaign concepts such as giveaways and advent calendars, we were able to leverage cultural moments and generate significant interest from our target audience. One of our biggest achievements was creating a community of parent bloggers within the German industry, making Smyths Toys a highly sought-after brand to work with. As a result, we received an influx of influencer inquiries and were able to establish strong relationships with key players in the industry. While I cannot disclose internal figures, I am proud of the results that I was able to achieve and look forward to continuing to deliver exceptional influencer campaigns for the parental market in Germany.
